Global Financial Crisis
Today a friend called me and told me that everything is crazy in Dubai. I asked why and he explained. "When it comes time to get my payments people tell me about the 'Global Financial Crisis', which means they have difficulty paying. Not that they can't but that it is a convenient and world wide excuse not to pay people. If Wall Street can't pay then why should they!"
Wow, I thought, how can somebody make money from this?
Why not make a stamp and sell it to all of those companies/individuals that need a good excuse to pay their bills late!

Shampoo LAB - Retail Shampoo Outlet
A retail shop selling shampoos that are formulated by the client. The client uses either predesigned shampoo that are stored ditially on a card or they come up with their own. Labels are printed with the information as well as the clients own logo/name. Some clients have popular formulas. Each ingredient has a particular benefit.

All the attention
When I completed Dubai Dolphinarium I had no idea about the attention that would be drawn to me. After completing the project in May we opened our doors on the 22nd with a spectacular opening ceremony.
Four years earlier when we launched our project together with Dubai Municipality we found out how just a few international and local activists caused a local media frenzy as the news papers are always on the look out for the new thing.
After opening I was expecting more of the same. To my pleasant surprise it was just the opposite. In a way most people were so enchanted by having dolphins available to see that almost all of the media was clammering to give interviews and learn more about our facility especially if it meant getting to see the dolphins themselves.
I think this is true with all projects suffering opposition. If they are concepts only then opposition is strong because there is nothing to see. If the projects are realized then the opposition is drowned out by throngs of people, even the opposition, waiting to get a chance to see and experience them.

Mega Ant Colony
This is an entertainment concept where you have a living museum where trillions of ants and other insects live in a place where people can see them. The scenes are slightly unnatural as we create a city where ants reign. They are fed different nutrients in order to keep their numbers high. Of the insects of this attraction.
